Those look like Bill Woods designs, he is very competent (Yorkville Sound designer).

I would add cone volume correction to the throat area to improve the loading on the cone and reduce cone fatigue.

Sorry if I'm being dim but what do you mean by cone volume correction DJK? Something like the line in green below - or more like a basic phase plug as per blue lines? Or maybe I'm on completely the wrong track LOL Please excuse the poor drawing...

is this plan more efficent and with some good deep bass like  a scoop?

Thanks for the link djk, interesting stuff.

I have often thought about that idea in the past without seeing any real world tests (and of course too lazy to actually test it myself ha).

I could clearly see the stress lines from uneven pressure on the cone when I took a Beyma 12LX60 out of Walt's Stepped Horn, so I hoped there might be some mileage in this.

I don't think it will drop low enough, path lenght too short.
