Hi everybody,

Has anyone a comparison between those two cabs ?
frequency range, SPL, sound quality, loaded with V18-1000 ?

we play mainly dub and dubstep.
our actual rig is composed of 2 X1 (RCF LF18 G400), 2 ES18 (P Audio SD18), 2 MTH 130.
I wonder if I just build two more X1, or if I sell them to build 4 Hogs !
I don't care about price and volume.
I just want the low ends to sound very deep and loud, even physical !

thanks a lot !

Nice looking rig! I especially like the top boxes.

I'd build another pair of x1 for now. Hogs are huge. If 4 x1s wont get physical then i'll eat my novelty beer dispensing hat.

X1s are huge for what they do and awkward to move. Hogs are all round a much better cabinet.

Have used both, can say the x1s will go lower in singles or pairs and are much more warm, but the hogs are alot more brutal and physical

i agree, i've never quite been totally contented stood in front of a hog based system, but i do love my x1s. horses for courses, and if you are after brutality then hogs are probably the winner.

the ratio is 1 hog to 1,5 X1.
so you would need 6 X1 to keep up with 4 Hogs.

the advantages of the x1 are that they are super easy to build, much lighter then the hogs + even go low in singles. that's why they are great for small venues & transportation in small vehicles as well.
super-multi-purpose ;)
