Hi

Assuming 2 tops per side your top end dispersion would roughly change from 120 deg. horizontal and 40 deg. vertical dispersion to 80 hor. x 20 ver. That can be beneficial in highly reverbant spaces as there will be less early reflections. Or to send some top end to the furthest seat row.

thanks Andy.. what your saying is the sound would go farther, but less wide.. so if most of my venues are long and shallow, this would be good, but if they are wide and shallow, this would be bad...

is that right?

Yup, more top cabs for wider horizontal coverage.

What about having one pair with 40x20 and the other pair with 60x40. You need to test the suitable splay angle between different cabinets, at worst they would not play well with each other.

ok thanks...  i really appreciate it.

im was lookin at purchasing the Selenium 3300ti or 4400ti but selenium doesnt offer a horn flare in the 60x40 pattern... i didn't really think i wanted to mix brands between the horn with the flare.

the 3300 is $150US
the 4400 is $230US
the de85 is $275US

so for me, im tryin to justify the jump in price between the selenium 3300ti and the b&c de85tn..

thanks again...
