These days, 4x scoops can do what 8x used to do, because people have progressed to higher power drivers, and larger amps.

Just out of interest, has anyone ever put an Eminence driver successfully in a scoop?

Ditto what Lev says about the cerwins, most in that list are very old,the 189 must be 25+years old now,3 inch coil, paper cone, and only 400w...probually fine for a vintage sound, but you wouldnt want to use it in anger.
Be seeing you.

Alright, can we get back to putting this list together so that it can be of some help to people on here?
Maybe in order of best to worst with some prices. Some of us on here can't afford $1000 neos and would be happy to use a 'decent' inexpensive driver until we win the lotto. Or maybe it would be better to keep it in alphabetical order and give it a +number rating. +10 being the best etc. or +8 power handling, +6 performance in scoops etc.
