Can someone tell me the difference between these two drivers? I can get them for almost the same price. Would one be more suited to a BPH and/ or a scoop/ or horn etc etc.
Thanks in advance. http://www.eighteensound.com/PRODUCTS/Products/ProdID/108/CatID/11#.U4atmce9EnQ http://www.eighteensound.com/PRODUCTS/Products/ProdID/110/CatID/2#.U4auHce9EnQ XMAX(7+)/ BL(24+)/ QES(-.35)/ QTS (-.35)/ VAS(-360)/ FS / RMS (18sound) 18LW2400 9.5 25.6 .32 .31 230 35 1200W 18W2000 7 27.1 .26 .25 230 37 1200W |

Hi everyone. I have found a pair of 18w1000 really cheap. According to realitysound list they seem to pass the test. But what plans can I use? Will they fit in a superscoop?
thanks for the help. |

Oberton 18XB1500 and Oberton 18XB1600
XMAX(7+)/ BL(24+)/ QES(-.35)/ QTS (-.35)/ VAS(-360)/ FS / RMS
18XB1600 12.5 30.87 0.267 0.258 165 32.5 1600W 18XB1500 11 31.58 0.229 0.225 192.5 35.8 1500W We have been testing both of these today, and they seem to perform well. So far only done low power tests to get an idea of sensitivity, will be doing higher power tests in due course. Edited by Andy Kos - 18 October 2014 at 12:13am |

I'm sure this could get someone saying "sell them and buy something decent" but the fact is I'm a vintage roots fan who wants to build a couple of scoops for home and parties etc. and don't have a ton of money to throw around.
I have two vintage Cerwin Vega SW18 400w drivers. I've been looking for the past two years at scoop designs and I'd really appreciate some advice on which cabinet to build. I've been looking mostly at the MSMkiii and the the old eminence scoop plans. cheers Mikey
