The simple answer is that their power ratings are somewhat misleading.....

berry/big boy amp does not suit the same sentance. even most of the lightweight amps out arent big boy amps and cant do 1800w p/c 4r. (real watts not magic watts)

One day, I'll get one of the Amplifirs here perhaps and then will have sufficient evidence to approach Trading Standards or The Advertising Standards Authority

Now, now that's a bit harsh.

I'm sure some of the amps rated at 3000wpc @ 4 ohms @ 1khz, will just about do 1800wpc @ 4 ohms @ 40hz, just before clip, with good headwind, and lucky rabbit's foot attached to the rack. LOL

Everyones knocking these but look at how many EP2500's are out there running budget rigs. They are what they are, a cheap budget high powered amp. No i wouldn't use these daily in a hetic professional environment, but for doing gigs once in a while they are ideal.

I still reckon that most Berry amps start their life in pub band rigs, and then hit the budget rig boys when they get sold on ebay further down the line. By this reckoning we're gonna see loads of these on Squatjuice this time next year lol...

I think you're missing out.

EP amps, DCX, old MDX composers are all great bits of kit for the money.
