Lovely build especially as you've taken care to make sure even single part is secure and neat and sealed.
Only one thing, I don't mean to criticize you but why didn't you build them out of 18mm birch ply? As thats a lot tougher 'on the road' than mdf.

I like it, very well done.
Wish I had all that space to build so many boxes at one time & store them.
You got nuff nuff screws very close together though, looks like bullett holes.
I read/heard that you don't need so many screws, as if the correct glue is used, it would dry even stronger than the wood itself, therefore the screws are only there to assist in the clamping & holding the boards in place.
That will add even more weight to the MDF wood used.
Not only would the 18mm birch ply be tougher, it would be lighter.
Nice build anyway.

hehe just downloaded the plans... think am gunna build a pair as soon as possible... an some PAS3MA1s to stick on top.
Do you think making them slimmer by about 6cm would affect the freq response?? because they are just too wide to fit thru a standard doorway. Then i can have 3 rigs :D Edited by Nigey-C - 29 September 2006 at 2:28pm |

Congrats on a top build! I'm just wondering which took longer; the build or how long the page took to load with all those pictures!
