Amazing bits of history in this thread, love every bit of it being a bit of a history buff....
Does anyone have knowledge/info on a system with four celestion HF50 bullets, horn loaded ATC 75-234, and a double 15" FLH with RCF L15P400K (looks a lot like Martin 215 bin)? Edit: Error with the bass bins, they are twin 12" L12P400K loaded! Edited by bob4 - 10 May 2017 at 12:55pm |

As far as I know, the Mega four way bullet cabinets were loaded with a very small Beyma tweeter not the Celestions and the bass cabinets were B212 and were loaded with long coil ATC 12" bass drivers with rubber surround front suspension--they did look a lot like the old Martin 2x15 bass cabinets as they were originally fitted with the big wooden side bar handles that stuck out quite a bit and were a pain in the arse to pack.
As for the midrange--not too sure but there was also 1" and twin 1" horn HF cabinets which were the same style as the four way bullet boxes that you seem to have forgot about. |

I think the system I am asking about is most likely a botched part of the system in the picture that you posted in the second post of this thread.
Of the original bins, there seem to be b212 bins, but rcf loaded, the lowmid cab with ATC (should be original?), and the bullet box. So basically the stack is missing the double 1" horn cab EDIT: sorry, seems it was not you but jblman who posted that pic on page 1 of this thread

are they what you need? all the guy's other ads are just random stuff so he's probably just a wheeler dealer who's ended up with them.
what do you reckon they'd be worth to you? i could check them out if he's on my routes or whatever. would probably cost a few quid to ship. |

They are the Volt 60W 10" mid driver that Mega used for a few years in various cabinets--very nice an sweet sounding sensitive driver but most modern 10" half decent drivers would perform better.

I'm pretty sure it was me that bought the majority of those boxes. I had the 3 bullet boxes. Unfortunately all of the bullets were blown and I ended putting APT80s in them. I recently put the empty cabs up on eBay and only got .99p for them. To cap it all the guy paid me by PayPal and then came and collected them.
I've still got the 2 double 1" horn cabs but sold the horns a while back. Also got the 3 x 9" horns. I believe a couple of the ATC 9" drivers are still working. |
