Looking at the figures and if they are correct (seems okay with the sensitiviy figure not exagerated), it seems like a decent low driver that may have an Xmax of around 8mm or something. But what respons are you after ? Do you have these 4818 already made and look for a suitable driver or do you have drivers and look for a cabinet to put them in or is everything at this point just a start from scratch ?

That looks like a very good driver for the MHB 4818 (Keele W-bin).

Atc looks about right, depending on what you considder as being the compression chamber and the throat or the onset of the horn, but I can't see Vtc being 30 liter, that should be less. |

Thanks Peter Jan,
I calculated the area marked as Vtc. The calculation is as under 42.07 width till horn starts 10.6 height 57.4 depth of the box. so it calculated as 42.07 x 10.6 x 57.4 = 25597 + added speaker volume 4403. So i rounded as 30000. The triangle volume i adjusted towards round cutout of plywood . |

The baffle is roughly 33cm x 33cm or ~1100cm² where the horn begin, so S1=1140 as you put it in, was a good starting point. It's a bit hard to determin where the the compression chamber truelly ends and the horn begins, but it's certainly not much more than the volume the speaker cone encloses up to the mounting baffle or a bit more than that 4,4 liter.
