Anyone have any idea what this is? I have it on a few Roboscan 918 fixtures, doesn't seem to be listed in the 918 or mac 500 manual.

FTER means it thinks the internal temperature is too high.

That is strange as it is doing it from start up when they are cold. Where is the sensor that deals with this?

The lamp compartment/exhaust does get really hot which worries me sometimes. When I brought them nearly all the heat reflectors had melted into the fans which was nice.

If they're doing it from start up, or cold, then the sensor is giving a false reading or short circuit.  This then needs to be replaced.

A good clean also helps, along with maintenance.

They have all been recently cleaned. Do you know where the sensor is located and if I can get it off RS?

The temp sensor will be the NTC on PL303. If it's faulty it may cause the fan to ramp up to full speed. You should be able to interrogate the measured temperature in the menu?
