struggling with c drive

hey guys , my computers c drive is in the red but i cant account for all the data
i can add up about 20gb with 30gb unaccounted for , what is going on here ?

i have followed how to do it but it has freed up 500mb , i have 20 gb of space lost which i cant see where or what it is

Check in your downloads folder in documents. All the crap you download off websites, PDFs, exe. Files etc all get stored there. Might free up some more space for you. Oh yeah and +1 on clearing out the porn also

tried that as well godge .

there is a documents and settings folder which says unaccessible , im  scanning it now it seems to have 100 000 files in it , what is this and why can i not access ???

If it is win 7 use disk cleanup to bin out all you restore points bar the last one, from an elevated command prompt type powercfg -h off this will free up the value of your ram on your HDD
 
also hit windows+r and type %temp% erase everything in there you can and then use an admin password to go through you docs and settings, downloads can be huge, file what you want to keep, bin what you don't, also if you use adobe look in the local data files for each user, we found 600Gb on a 1Tb SSD the other day from an After Effects session that had cached every element at full siz for the last year!!!!
