Lev, Would you say its worth me just building superscoops then to replace these, rather than hunting for the plans to build more: http://forum.speakerplans.com/scoop-id-needed-please_topic74382.html If thats the case then im also after another pair of 18B400 im getting the impression they seem to be quite sought after still, I Certainly dont have complaints with mine. (sorry to crash your thread with this question Scott)

Would suggest you search around for used Supers, before building.
They work splendidly with many Fane drivers. |

the old fane studio 18 is probably one of the best drivers that have ever graced the scoopists.

Yep, parameters typify quintessential scoop driver. If only Fane could have given it, Xmax=12mm, BL=32, 800W Power handling, without changing anything else.. |

Best SOUNDING scoop driver bar none
Best scoop design for this is the Fane 15'' scoop scaled up by multiplying all the measurements by 1.2. Keep the width down to 24'' 610mm wide though ........how does he know this members might ask.......ANSWER: I used to own 16 of them : ) |

I heard 3 in scoops on the end of a JTS pre & JTS 6k amp combo
Surprised with how good it sounded!

That's the internal width, not including the thickness of the sides? The 15" Fane scoop has an internal width of 565mm, which x 1.2 gives 678mm. It's this that should be reduced to 610mm? |
