1.) 1,8cm thickness of panel. (chipboard, mdf): 71,7-7,2=64,5cm
2.) 1,9cm thickness of panel (ply): 71,7-7,6=64,1cm

should the baffle not be 30mm ofset from being flush with the front of the cab?

hey

The short answer is that it doesn't matter.

Compression drivers, being sealed drivers by default, dont need to worry about the size of the chamber they are in, they dont need any particuluar volume to work. So you can set the baffle that the horn screws into wherever you want really.

As people have said you'll probably want it back 30 or 40mm from the front so that you can get a grill on if you plan to use one, but other than that you can decide yourself.
