As i have said, you have a lot to learn yet.
Take a read on the Ultra festival that has just finished in Miami. Most of the systems were tuned down to 25Hz. And few stages had double 18 reflex boxes doing that. So you are wrong.

There is no picture, but as I read BASSMAXX SP218 response is -10dB@26Hz and for d@b B2 I already post graph. In particular, a lot of attention gets paid to the subwoofers - there’s a lot of content below 50 Hz, and the subs need to be as “right” as possible. Unfortunately, festival scheduling issues restricted my efforts to a fairly tight window.. Advance Work In addition, BASSMAXX supplied 16 beta test subwoofers currently given the model designation SP218 or the “Dub-ill 18.” These are double 18-inch direct radiating vented subs. The challenge would be integrating the centered BASSMAXX subs with the B2s flanking them." Edited by apexaudio - 24 March 2013 at 6:33pm |

Yes that is true, but that is a single box response of BASSMAXX SP218, and boxes used at ultra are MLM218 which are completely different then SP218, and has -3db at 25Hz with -10 being at 20Hz.

Looks like MLM218 use Yamaha procesing on PA subwoofer
"Advanced YST II Brings You Super Bass The effectiveness of Advanced YST II (Yamaha Active Servo Technology II) is based upon two principles: the Helmholtz Resonator and negative-impedance drive. How does it work? Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology (Advanced YST) uses an Active Servo Processing amplifier circuit to achieve zero impedance so the speaker unit has a more linear motion, resulting in tighter bass reproduction and minimizing distortion because everything in the subwoofer moves together smoothly. In Advanced YST II, an Advanced Negative Impedance Converter enables the speaker cone to be driven with even tighter control--it can dynamically adjust in order to select the optimum values for speaker impedance variation. The result is more stable and accurate low range response, as well as higher sound pressure levels, for more natural and energetic bass reproduction. " |

What about Coda sc8 sc4 they claim also impressive results as ipal technology in terms of freq responce and group delay between Ultralowfrew and upperlowfreq and they manage to do it in really small enclosures.

We go off topic, I do not want discussion about equipments for rental. I give some ideas for new diy projects anybody can use it or leave it, I do not want advertising any brand.

Fair enough mate. Really no intetion on advertising stuff. Its just that technologies like the yamaha you metioned or ipal or sencor controlled they really move in a progressive and alternative way pushing the boundaries. And as the Diy audio community have contribute in signifacant levels in the progression of audio systems design it can be only a good think when new technologies fall on the table of discussion even if they are a bit off topic.
Cheers and respect for the effort and spirit you put in your work.
