This is a lesson i learned a while back !!! Always have at least one backup of your music! HDD's are cheap enough no!

i use vdj6 and 7 often files i have come up with an mp3 error when i load them-could this cure this ian?

Was just a little concerned that re-encoding actually causes a slight loss in mp3 quality each time it's encoded.
Would prefer a solution whereby the tag was edited only.

Yes,re-encode them...takes about 10 seconds for an average 10mb track..i allways select the output  quality to 320kbs.

When you say run them through DB power amp converter.
What do you do exactly?
Do you just encode them to mp3?
