Hi, If you are looking for a budget driver for the X1, use the P Audio C18 650EL, £120 from Pro Audio Parts. Jamie |

Hi,
I received my c18-650EL the other day, and I have to say it looks impressive. I haven't seen how many other drivers are constructed, but I use to think my Peavey Black Widow 1801 was huge until I saw this thing. I preped the X1 to mount the 650EL in it, and I going to test it soon, but I don't think I'm going to be dissapointed at all. It looks like it's going to make massive bass. Seriously, I had the Peavey 18" in my first X1 and I thought it was ok(300w rms), but now I feel like I'm in for a surprise when I power up the 650EL. Maybe one day I'll hear the Void 18-1000 in one, or the SD18. I'm going to power the 2-X1's with 1200w a cab, which is just under 3db of RMS. I'll post again when I test the X1. Hi everyone,
Got the C18-650EL mounted in the X1 today. But I'm lacking a suitable amp. I'm going to try and get ahold of a QSC-2450 this weekend. My Peavey 1500 couldn't make me happy, even bridged. I think it was pushing 700w bridged. But I need to look at the speakon pinout to make sure the bridge mode was pins +1/-1. Anyway, I can see that I'll need my HD15's soon to add the kick from the bass, since the X1 is more of that house vibrating bass. |

I'm pretty happy with the C18-650EL, I'll crank it up with a QSC-2450 tomorrow.

The pinout for bridge on the PV1500 isn't 1+/1-. In addition to that neither of those both amps can handle 4 ohms bridged ---> two X1s on bridged amp! |
