Hi Guys,

I am going to build some X1s next week but I’m not quite sure what speaker I should use.

On the one hand there is the famous Void V18-1000, which should work very fine in the X1.

On the other hand I read that the BMS 18n850 works also well in X1 - even better than the Void.

Now I ask you which one I should use.

I wish I knew mate. I had a look on that link, the woofers looks good, & they compression drivers are very sensitve, seems like their all made in Germany.

Tried looking for prices in UK sterling but no joy, not even sure if we can get them here.

Good luck on your X1s Bob & choice of driver.

The choice as they say is entirely up to you Bob.

One of those divers has an efficiency of 1.55% and will produce 94.05 dB for 1w/1m.

The other has an efficiency of 3.64% and will produce 97.77 dB for 1w1m.

Rog.

Hi,

and there is even more variety to come:

a) rumor has is there´s 2 versions of the BMS 18n850, and
b) Void´s continuing development led to the new V18-1200, a hell of a LF driver ... !

Anyone checked these ones out ?
