unlikely as it is a specialist coating process not a paint at all. And requires special kit to apply it. I am investigating other "Cold Catalysed" types but not much headway yet waiting on a few samples

Although I've never done it, I do like the Line X finish regarding consistency. Unfortunately it's not for the DIYer, as it involves someone else doing part of your job, Alright for some but not for others I guess. My 2 pack stuff will see me out.

I have finally received some Line X samples various good stuff will be coating some testers soon but seems to do the job.  Although density is an issue to be investigated durability seems very good for abrasion resistance

What's the deal with two pack paint guns? 

Is it a total no no for people with no paint experience? 

Is it expensive to get set up ? 

tuffcab just doesnt do it for me anymore I really want a tough finish .

Chemthane needs to be sprayed because of its gel-time of only a few seconds. Trying to figure out what to paint my cabs with and a full polyurethane with top coat would be real real nice. But spending all that time and money to have some idiot put there graffiti, on top of a beautiful coating would be heart breaking! Thats when having a roller for a quick touch up is a big plus and much more forgivable...

just got some samples sent through of their products applied to plywood. not sure how many coats they have used. i tested each sample by hitting it quite hard a dozen times with a tack hammer and scratching the surface as hard as i could with the corner of the hammer head.

tuff cab. gloss coarse stippled finish (applied by roller). obvious denting scratches clearly visible

chemthane 7025 polyurethane elastomer.
fine stippled gloss finish (looks like it has been sprayed on). very slight denting. scratches visible

chemthane 7030 polyurethane hard coating for wood. gloss finish. no denting. scratches visible

chemthane 7030/chemthane 1400 topcoat. matt finish. no denting. scratches barely visible and only if light at right angle.

seems like a good product but AFAIK is has to be sprayed
