I should add, the second box needs to be wired as standard (ie parallel), otherwise it too would need a shorted plug to complete the circuit.

Note that this prevents the first speaker working unless the second is plugged in (or you make a custom NL2 plug with the pins shorted to complete the circuit when using only one box).

Yes ignore orther poles/tabs , also allows to config/change in the future so nl4s way to go

also remember the nl2 and nl4 connectors will mate with nl4 sockets, the nl4 connectors wont mate with a nl2 2pole socket...

YES! That is how ALL my nl4's are wired.

The pic really helps, im assuming i can use NL4's as advised and wire them the same and just ignore the other poles?

That pic shows how to wire the sockets in parallel. So the nex box you plug in, the amp will see a parallel'd set of speaker boxes.

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.
