the light weight bad boy is the pcm18, absolute monster of an amp.

@ Lev correct the pcm18 was the one compared to the lab clone, on a 13 amp plug the lab seamed louder to a few that was there, but the pcm18 sounded warm and cleaner in tone (feed back I received).

I cant comment on weather the lab clone was louder or it was distorted seaming louder. Will get my hands on a lab clone and a/b them...

Bee, lab clone is speced at 4400W at 4 ohms, PCM 18 is 3200 if i recall right. So the lab copy should be louder. But i wont bet on its reliability.

Do all the SAE amps have IEC connectors for power?

I only ask because I was looking at getting one in the future but will use it here in Australia.

All hard wired I believe. All of mine are.

I dont like adapters myself but I will have to do what I have to do. From what I gather most seem to be pleased with them. I cant get some of the other options that are available with out paying an arm and a leg for them. So I have always been very interested in these amps.

But thanks for letting me know tomr

I typically dont expect lightweights to achieve > approx 66% of rated power, 40-100hz, 4 ohm stereo.

To me, Seems far more useful measuring amps in terms of 8 ohm 1850 cabs per channel.

E.g. Have heard E90, PL9, K20, 9001 comfortably drive 4x cabs per channel, with decent supply.

8mk2, Labg 14K copy, 3x cabs per channel.

Not heard SAE or Matrix 10K yet.

EDIT: Heard PCM18 driving 2x TBX100, Per channel, impressive, but would like to hear it driving '50s.
