is 0.775 not the "highest" input setting, i.e. the setting for putting the most signal into the amp? or am i mistaken?

Check to make sure the Master ATT is set to 0db on the back of the mixer.

How does one of these amps compare to a proline 3000 for running 2 subs into a 4 ohm bridge? the specs suggest these would give me closer to the 3600w each program power that each 21NLW9601 requires than the proline but id love to hear some peoples experiences...

I have both and recently chose the proline in 4 ohm bridge over the pxm for a pair of pd1850s as the abeltronics test seemed to suggest the pxm wasnt all that happy at 2ohm.

http://www.abeltronics.co.uk/amptesting.php?z=Lexon_PXM1450

The boxes sure were singing and the proline didnt even break a sweat.

Fear of damaging the pxm has stopped me trying it in 4ohm bridge but im sure there are others on here who can comment as to its reliability in this mode.

Hope this helps.

Thanks dude nice fast reply too :), thats making me lean towards proline as i really wanna run a 4 ohm bridge, ill see what others say too, does the realiabilty of stereo 2 ohm directly compare with 4 ohm bridge then?

As i understand it 4ohm bridge effectively presents each channel of the amp with a 2ohm load, which i conservatively assume is effectively the same as running a single channel at 2ohm.

I do not claim to be an expert at all on this and could very easily be wrong. Im sure someone will correct me soon if so...

Why don't we all? Bloody silly 8ohm standard in big boy drivers is stupid.
Best thing I ever did in the past was to get RMJ to do my 186's in 4r.

Looks like i very well may be going that way, 1 4ohm 9601 a side but running off two pcm20s, im guessing theres nothing wrong with using two amps 1 sub per channel apart from cost?
