Hi has anyone got a Samson CD44t Compression Driver lying around or know where i can get one from in the uk? Only ones i can find are in the US and won't ship internationally :(

screw it i'm just gonna try one just been checking the spec sheets for the jbl's and paudio's they fit and there pretty much the same as the cd44t, can't do any harm can it

If it doesnt fit you can send it back for a refund providing you are careful with the diaphragm.
A lot of the parts used for voice coil / diaphragm manufacture come from common sources, and are then just sold between different companies in the far east. This results in a number of common sizes and shapes.
For someone who wants to 'build' a new OEM compression driver, to start from scratch would be a headache, particularly if the quantity is not large to start with. It is so much easier to start with some generic parts that are easily available off the shelf, and just assemble them as appropriate for the desired result and price point.
There is a MASSIVE amount of cross compatibility of diaphragms, there is one diaphragm that fits in well over 100 different compression drivers.
