Wow!! Does that include cost of the wood? I've had quotes from £57 to £300, but nothing that low. Please tell me where that quote was from.

Well the prices are the same as last year - so that's a good sign! How about delivery cost?

I see you got interior grade - are you not worried about de-lamination when you use it outdoors?

I see they also sell West System epoxy - did you use that?

Also, I'm mystified by this sketchup thing. I've downloaded the file and have Sketchup Viewer, but all I seem to be able to do is rotate a 3D model. I can't see dimensions or any way to make it display 2D sections. How can I do this? Or does anyone have 2D plans - more like blueprints for simple folks like me?
Thanks.

I was one of the first boominator builders in the UK (2013)
You can take the 3D model apart, rotate, move and measure all of the component peices, thats how I did it.

Also, In answer to another post, "Phenolic Ply" is easy to obtain in the UK but you usually have to order it. Any decent supplier should be able to do this.... I paid £55 for a sheet, they cut it accurately for me and I've made a full boominator and a halfinator out of it.

Final panel version...

Did 2 little parties with it over the weekend, very impressed with the sound. Need to tweak the minidsp a little and do the volume control in the amps rather than from the iPod. The amps and minidsp do hiss a bit due to the sensitivity of the Boominator. Doing volume post DSP should sort it out, the maxamp20 has this facility.

All put together now, decided to rough it up a bit and then wax, will get better pics over next days, it looks much better in really life.

Still needs a bit of tweaking, cable management inside needs a bit more lacing and a bit more work on the DSP.

I have now revised the volume control, instead of adjusting the DSP the knob controls the 2 amps, this works much better. Will post up diagram soon.

All looks very nice - but I'd say that panel really should have been recessed. Switch and volume control will be vulnerable.

REMEMBER....POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS SHOULD BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
