mini scoops are getting bigger hehe.
looks great. i'd say that's a thumper alright. how high can you go with it? presume it's a potential product and not a potential free plan. |

Well a mini 21 has got to be bigger than a mini 18
still 3'' smaller than a 18'' full scoop Product yes. Possibly flat packs. Not sure yet Edited by KidCreole - 02 June 2014 at 9:45pm |

An 18 scaled up?
My first guess was super scaled up minus the dog-leg? chamber size looks good |

no was a fresh plan, not based on any design, It follows the basic scoop design, braced to hell, double back baffle bracing, and double bracing on horn. 48mm baffle.... I would call it a small chamber, based on driver size...
The big trouble with a 24" is the band width it plays 20hz to 60hz... is the sweet spot. getting a driver cone that big past 60hz is pointless due to the transient response being way too slow... So its more of an infra scoop, than traditional scoop sound.... This means you need some serious high bass cabs to keep up.. Edited by bee - 02 June 2014 at 8:14pm |
