Would seem some of the new drivers with only 4.5"VC, but very high power handling, use thicker VC wire, resulting in lower sensitivity. If driver with lower efficiency, can withstand sufficient power input, to exceed max SPL, of driver with higher efficiency, then not a problem for most, if suitable amplification/venue power available. |

possibly a stupid question but do i just cut out a 18" hole and that will fit any driver? also what tool do i need for the router to cut out the rebated sections. proper beginner i am

All drivers will have as one of their specifications something called "baffle hole cutout" (or similar wording), that's the number you need. Read up on the various posts on this cab to see what drivers are suitable, then check which of them you can easily get a hold of, then decide what size hole to cut.

one more question :) can i use 2.5mm2 tri rated cable, i use it to wire control panels so i believe it will be good for speakers?

I'm sure it'll be fine...although I'd recommend 4mm cable if you ever plan on daisy chaining hogs together and blasting em for a while..just to be on safe side.

Thanks mate. we only have 2.5mm2 then we have from 6mm2 to 70 :) will post pics soon, i think ive done ok for my first bit of wood work since school :)
