Reconing would be too much effort, don't know where to get them and would cost a lot for 6x recone kits.
I'd rather buy a modern day driver. 
We need more SPL!

It would be cheaper and easier to move to the states and get your Gauss reconed there.LOL

^ Very true. The kits are around $180 (about £112)  in the US,add the shipping + VAT and duty,just throw it in a skip,and go and buy a PD1550.

The gauss actually sounds very good in the martin bin, i'm also having a look at the eminence omega pro. The speaker for 4x wbins is going to be 18soundlw1400. speaker for martin not yet decided but i'll keep you guys posted when the system is ready :)

I can also get some 18sound 181300 or a cheap price, but the t/s parameters don't  fit that good.
The succeedor of the 18sound lw1400 is the 18sound is 18w1300, the last one has a less stiffer cone so not so good for horn loading I think?
We need more SPL!

Everything for kick bass and sub bass will be 18 sound drivers! Yesss quality :) 

For the xtro recommended driver 18sound 15ND930 
For the Martin 115 18sound 15LW1400
For the Wbin 4518 18sound 18LW1200 or 1300 or 1400
