Tooling in Asia is about 1/10 of the western prices. Plus the tool was made many years ago so the have their money back a long time ago

It does not mater in this case. Those are very short and wide dispersion horns.

I'm looking strictly for 12" horn Nicky.

But other point of this thread, is to discuss everything on the table.
Then people can choose based on budget.

These are what I've seen in US.

But are they the TSG (?) Audio horns? If they are, they've never replied to any question I've put to them regarding their frequency response and dispersion claims. I've sent about six via eBay and not once have had a proper reply, just a vebatim copy of what the eBay page says!

your second and 3rd pic has a wider dispersion than mine, only going by pic, defo looks wider.
pic 1 looks a bit like the dnb coaxial horn...

pic 4 ive seen this design somewhere... could be limmer not sure. very very narrow dispersion.

I would only buy what I've heard.

Have heard some of Mykey's early work, Porn Horn MK1s, Turbo/Martin, BOKE, EAW.

To be honest if this Fibre glass lark turns out to be an expensive headache, would just get modified set of MT121 built.

thats what i tried to say previously Lev, if the prices asked for proper phase plugged horns are above your budget best to stay within budget and try to make the best of what you got for the time beeing?

imo theres a huge difference between the two so quite hard to compare on any level..

I think the copiers are making more money than the designers, so their prices are cheaper.

Not fair for the designers, but most punters will go for value for money.

dont understand the logic..
they are making more money so they are cheaper?
- they are cheaper hence get more sales?

value for money has nothing to do with the price itself, cheap tat stays cheap tat, no matter how cheap it is..! A coaxial horn for less than 150quid will most definately have not a lot of qualities other than beeing cheap... same goes for most of "his products".. not really worth the money imo

but yeah, horses for courses :)
