Pfft...your monitor must be better than mine, I thought it was quite obscure!
Across the busbars however. and here's where it came from, with a new screw magically fitted. The insulating washer that should be under the screw was in the PIP card bay And the VZ drive circuitry that has got a bit melty. |

That’s welded itself on there pretty good! Surprising it still managed to keep going to some level despite the damage.

Pair of Mackie SWA1501 with a creative, if futile attempt to repair them by A.N.Other. Shame, was looking forward to fixing them.

Trying to spot deliberate mistake: The geezer bought Wackie in the first place? The amp board looks very reminiscent of BK electronics, or at least a Chinese bastard son of...Doesn't look very Wackie, so guessing someone has wacked in a couple of generic amp modules? Does the ali heatsink angle of the board, actually transfer any heat to the external fins on plate? Not sure what the "potted" components on the top floating board are up to, some sort of crossover? |

Yup, should look like this?
Could be an improvement, who knows. Good thing to hang onto for November 5th celebrations. |

I think you are correct Matt, looks like a BK electronics board...BK450? Yup,i'm also wondering how it is thermally coupled to the rear panel heatsink... they seem to have screwed it to a smaller bracket to somehow transfer the heat?

Be seeing you.

I would have thought that the BK module was an improvement to the thing! But it would need better heatsinking and a FAN. |
