Pro audio didn't work so moving on to headphones now?

Distortion free sound? By using same components than everyone else? Of course it is...

I was about to say similar. There is clearly a large cross section of head phone buyers and muppets with too much cash out there. Why not.

It seems bizarre that a company would consider offering replacement drivers for headphones and tote distortion free reproduction. Surely, if the drivers can become damaged, the first sign indicating a problem from the headphone driver would be distortion?

Even if the drivers were distortion free, isolating the sound into the ear canal with no means of distortion can/will make the average consumer continue to increase the volume until tinnitus comes into play. That sounds like a recipe of hearing damage coming into play for the average consumer does not hear distortion to indicate loud in their minds.

Best Regards,

Elliot Thompson

i thought the remarkable thing was that this is a kickstarter campaign?

1,260 backers pledged £177,277 to help bring this project to life.

Sounds like there are 1260 born every minute....

Or is this a misquote?

He has always seemed able to convince enough people with money to give it to him. That along with whoever builds his cabs, and his CNC shop, he has some serious ability. Shame it hasn't born out much fruit of worth, or peer reviewed acclaim.

...was using those memory foam Comply tips 10 years on an aviation headset. The tips themselves are comfortable and have good noise isolation, but they hold your ear wax like a bastard and need to be changed every couple of weeks.  I managed to get them to fit on a pair of Shure in-ear headphones and it works nicely, you just unscrew them to replace.
