Yeah they're Steve's old scoops. Yeah I'd like to splay them actusllt. Never heard of a splay block though, couldn't find anything on google. Any links or pictures?

It’s just a piece of ply cut at the correct angle so they dont pull together as yours have if you strap them up as you did. Normal rule of thumb for floods is the backs touching and a fist distance between them at the front. I’m sure someone else will tell you a more accurate way!

In my experience, Floods need a bit more than a fist between the front edge of each box, as they are a 50° x 25° box. Flashlights work well with a fist, though they're a 25° x 25° box. Cheers
