Hi no the led is bolted with transfer paste inbetween. You can use high temp epoxy but is a pain if you need to remove it (a chisel job). I was going to use the cyanoacrylate with aluminium oxide the same way people use it with baking soda. It will be strong and transfer heat. The led with the right size sink wont get to 80c. However to make sure I plan to braze it. Might be easier than pop rivets..

New box of led's to do all the other scans

I spent two days trying to braze 6mm to 1mm and decided it was impossible so the only other option was to cut slots. Then mixed epoxy with thermal paste

May get a chance to do a test today :o). The stain on the baseplate is baked on sticker from when I tried to braze it, I may try to get it off more sometime... |
