original thin rubber under the chassis is just ok. You'll see, when you thighten the srews, there will perfect seal. No need for extra rubber.

In the PD 1550 the back of flange there is a thin rubber. I think it might be too thin, would it be good to put some extra insulation (rubber) there or is it necessary? It will of course flatten when the driver is mounted, so it would not be much difference for the depth position of the driver?

Oh I will.
Project is not over yet. Took very long to me to get the plywood, I donĀ“t know the costs in Britain, but in Finland plywood is very expensive. Hopefully getting some pictures soon.. Just enjoying the build!!
