What's the deal with people painting their Turbosounds in Funktion One colors?
Is it just to get the "Funktion One-fan clubbers" excited? |

If that what it takes to get those grilles off then fine by me:-)
I think you're right it's the hype, but if you look at the back of the floodlight it does sy "designed by Funkion one" with an older logo... Edited by tv00 - 03 May 2017 at 8:58pm |

Everyone knows Turbo Blue is louder than black. It's like a rule, or something. |

That's a good point. But the kids today know the name of one speaker brand and their not Blue. "They sound great, are they Funktion one?" "No" "... They sound better than Funktion one" "Erm, thanks?" But in fairness, they look pretty smart im black and silver. |

i'm certain that i once read on an early turbosound website, in an FAQ "why are turbosound speakers blue? - Because in blind listening tests, people always said the blue speakers sounded better"
that would have been around 97 or 98 (when i picked up my first pair of turbosound speakers), and i'm sure i went through archive.org looking for it and i can't find it. |

Sure everyone can do what they want with their stuff, I'm just curious why there's a hype about painting them silver. The original picture I uploaded has already been removed. There's a club here that everyone was talking about. Everyone said they had a really good Funktion One system so I was interested in what was so special about it. Once I got there, I saw that they actually had an entire Turbosound setup, but everything is painted in Funktion One colors. So I wonder if clubs do it to trick people into thinking it's a more popular Funktion One system?

Call it Turbosound or Funktion-one, it's nearly the same design from the exact same men, it's not the brand which defines the quality of a loudspeaker system.
Let people think they're Funktion, they are almost right anyway. Edited by Darkstar - 04 May 2017 at 3:37pm |

So when you went to check it out, did it sound good?
I find a lot of people are confused about funktion one. Some people think it's more of a "type" of sound system than a brand of speaker |
