I think I may have mentioned this before, but:
When I worked at Turbosound (early 90's) most of the cabinets sold to the USA were painted black, because that's what the customers demanded. And they were very important customers. The marketing department made sure that this was kept very quiet, and everyone else was told they could have any colour they liked as long as it was Turbo Blue... Hmm, Void Red, I like that idea. |

But it will sound great when you use your "limiters" on your shitbox LMS (and yes if you are using limiters, a Lake is a shitbox LMS) ... |

I find turbosound sound best when painted black and silver , really makes the tops more clear and bass heavy .

i was told the Blue was because when SSE were making them they ordered the wrong paint on a very big order and had to use it to be able to honour the order

I think you are probably correct there Joe as I can remember something like that happening when SSE were at Lenton Lane--it was the original mid/hi 2x10+hf IIRC.
