So here goes.

Never built anything like this before and the learning curve has been steep at times. Thanks a million to bee and diyxover without whose early responses I'd have probably given up. Instead I kept going and came up with my own design.

Thanks to my friend mark for use of his garage and assistance. I promise to stop boring him with stuff I've found out as soon as we have tops built and are running dsp.

First panels cut

Then I finalised internal bracing design and made that

Dry clamped the box with driver in and rolled over a bar to get centre of gravity to position handles (did this before the bracing actually)

Messed up the baffles so made a second set

Baffles done, rebates cut and ports in! Felt like I was getting somewhere!

Looking good so far!! 15" drivers?

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Btw this is for a bms 15n630 in a 90 litre box.

Port detail. Cut the rear baffle so the pipes are a really snug fit, then routed the front with a trim bit then a roundover.

Probably the best shot of the detail of the design, for better or worse.

Box assembled.

Needs handles cutting in and a rebate for the speakon plate and then it's ready to test... and I need to glue the other one up. This one's coming to a gig on Saturday just for a test though!

You've made a nice job of that. Ports look really nicely done.
Keep pushing on, things are gonna get better.

It's a bms 15n630 rish. It's built to the bms recommended spec of 90 litres and 43hz.

Figuring the best way to maximise bracing for minimum weight was what took me the longest. Lots of cups of tea and sketching on graph paper.

I was a little concerned it might be too close to the vent in the magnet but as no one's said it'll be a huge problem I'm guessing it's fine!

Lovely driver and build. Tony Wilkes would have been proud.
