Hey all...
I've been asked to put sound into the Kitchen of an install I did. The easiest route is gonna be a compact active 8" or 10" speaker. What would folks recommend? Also...do any come with Bluetooth...is that a thing? |

None i can think of in the pro audio domain that wouldn't look ugly as hell in a kitchen.
You could use a ceiling mounted amp and a couple of ceiling speakers? Or a couple of home hifi speakers with the amp on top of the kitchen units? |

Sorry I didn't give enough info.
It's an open commercial kitchen in Restaurant/Cocktail bar. A small pro audio cab will be fine. |

You could use chrome audio and plug that into active speaker/s much better than Bluetooth. needs a wifi connection though.

kitchen stuff can get pretty greasy and manky.. something maybe marketed as outdoor / water resistant, or at least cleanable might be something to consider.

This. What's the ceiling like, 600x600 tiles? I'd probably still do something ceiling speaker based, perhaps a pair plus ceiling sub if you're that way inclined. Once you get some kitchen grease on a speaker, they start to look pretty manky and an EHO may well have an issue. And that gives you somewhere to store an amp - a Sonos one maybe, or a cheap eBay 2.1 thing with Bluetooth if budget is a concern.

Yeah ceiling speakers definitely, feed it off the house bg music, or give it a separate input via a wall panel or bluetooth.
