Quote Its the big, "throw" debate. I've built Cubos, they, "throw". Reading the original post thats not what the remit was
You're the second or third person I've seen in 7 years that claims Cubo 15/18's throw. I've had feedback of hundreds of people, on top of my own experience that says that they don't.

As they're a hybrid between reflex and tapped horns, two design principles that are both known to not throw, it would be rather surprising if they did. They can have a small front-to-side reduction (from the tapped horn part) but not as severe as you describe. What you describe sounds as placement issues to me.
I rather liked forum member Bee's perspective on the matter, which came down to; same throw as a reflex but louder.

Quote Plenty here about cubo, tham, and a ton other not going below 45 in singles. Yours obviously do, well done
As Cubo 15 and 18 were designed to be usable from 40 Hz and up in singles, that would be kind of a big design flaw. Now if you could show me something that supports your claims, that would make this easier to digest. In the mean time, have a look at these measurements.

Of course there's these: https://www.freespeakerplans.com/images/stories/Cubo%2018%20Measurements(1).png and here's one from the personal archives (Eminence Kappa 15 LF in Cubo 15 Standard)f5 at 40 Hz and f10 at 33 Hz, without processing:

Best regards Johan

No box 'throws'. There is no debate, just people who don't understand how boxes array, directivity, or how they work with the impedance of the air in front of the box.

Speakers that have 'Throw' tend to be louder...
They also tend to be the ones that have been set up to take account of directivity and phase cancellation.
Take 2 bins and set them up as stereo pair and you get bass near the front but not so much at the rear of the venue - Useful if you want an intimate setting, like you might require for a wedding where people want to socialise at the back of the room.
Take the same 2 bins and group them centre front. Instant throw! No Phase cancellation. Bass everywhere. Useful for dance & music events.

Real world, no science just my experience. Will use T18 as reference but have had same with anything horn loaded, from CVega oldies to Cubo type.

A club night we did in Bracknel for years, dancefloor, say 100 people, dj, some seating, glass then behind glass bar. Open plan. 8 T18's, bugger all bass of any sort in front of stack (many variations of stacking. Behind glass mayhem.

Bloke turns up to do a night in competition, we go look, 4 x 2x15 JBL. Bloody lovely bass on the dancefloor and nice sound behind glass without mayhem. Hi Fi

A club, small, Alton, two T18's, one sort of corner loaded, one on dancefloor. Mayhem at door 50ft away, bass everywhere, bugger all on dancefloor or in front of corner loaded. Turn corner loaded one to FACE corner, lovely.

Pub in village, horn stuff replaced with Custom Sound (yep, don't laugh) 1 x 18's with 200w fanes. No competition, immense quality improvement and sub that rolled down like a home cinema.

Looking back though my builds on FSP, Cyclops was the only thing that got close to reflex hi-fi, oh and a Cubo with an old Celestion G18q, but that could sound good in a wheelie bin.

Don't get horns for small indoors except trying to get every last db out of a 12 for size sake or to be trendy. Yin Yang

PS, the pub also lost complaints after going reflex, it stayed indoors.
It's everything, not everythink!
