I've made a couple of those double 15" horns and loaded them with PD1550's. Although needed to extend the back of the cab by about 18mm to get the PD's in. Also added 3 aluminium heat sinks to the removable back panel to chill things out as the rear chamber is quite small. Run a cab up with 1500 watts and they make quite a bit of sound for there size. Not much low bass, but a nice quick kick bass generated. Good for music like techno.

I still don't get how someone can pair a PHL mid with a bunch of piezos. At first I though you were posing and taking the piss in a big way, but it seems like you have the ultimate HF torture device to your disposal. How about putting them on top of your tops on a simple baffle just for looks? Get someone in the know totally shocked how a buch of piezos can sound that good

I added heat sinks by constructing the back panel out of two sheets of wood sandwiched together. I cut the back panels out off a piece of 15mm and 9mm ply. For the heatsink material I used three 5mm thick aluminium sheets. I clamped the two back panels together and cut three section out that were 40mm smaller in width and height of the heaksinks. Then using a router set t 5mm depth I routered the edge of the cut-out on the 15mm thick panel  so the heatsink laid flush into it. I then applied silicon to both side of the heatsink where it come in contact with the wood, then screed and glued the 9mm panel on top clamping the heaksinks in place.

Sorry description a bit poor but at work so had to write quickly. Can write a better one tonight if needs be.

Hope this helps.
