Hello Forum :)

I wonder if there is some kind of cheat sheet for the frequency spectrum for different kind of electronic music.

For example (these are just some numbers to show what i mean...)

Techno:
            General spectrum: 45hz-18khz
Kicks mostly in range of 100-130hz
Baseline rarely goes down below 40
            emphasize xyz frequencys because...

Most of the old croqs wouldn't need this obviously, but i think this would come in handy for every beginner. And maybe eliminate questions like: Which speakers for xyz type of musik.

Greetings from germany Dennis

According to Rog, "kick is 91Hz"!

He did a "Void System Tips Eq" pdf which is more about system EQ for anything, attached on this link uploads/8883/Void_System_Tips_EQ.pdf

More getting 2.5K ish right for volume, and related to Phon/Flescher Munsen equal loudness contours, but has some very good pointers to tune anything by ear.

Enjoy!

Don't thank me, thank Rog, who is the effective forum founder of sorts!

Lets be honest, if you know how to polish turds, you can almost make a Norfolk Red sound good! Almost.

Most of my life is spent polishing turds, and this is like a little cheat sheet to me, as my memory is shite as to exact numbers.

Why not? The response is not consistent on axis or off without it.

Interesting read, especially the 'dance playback eq' section as that's pretty much exactly how my system is eq'ed although I think I may need more 91hz now that I've read it....
