That moment when a piece of kit fails. Open the case, poke a few things aimlessly, put the lid back on, give it a good slap and sods law it works again..

We used to have a magic store cupboard---put faulty items in, get them out a couple of months later and they had very often mended themselves.

I´ve lost count of the amount of faulty kit I´ve had in here that (magically) repairs itself when placed on my workbench.

The best was a Mackie 24 channel desk that - according to the owner - would randomly loose the main left channel. I had it running here for hours without any fault. I even 'bounced' it about to see if that helped, but got nothing. I returned it to the owner, who then told me that it failed again at the first outing he did. I suggested Mono!!  LOL
