The FK1 gear does go low in large numbers (F-218s will hit 40hz pretty well). FK1 boxes aren't perfect but they are clear and smooth to listen to at high SPL.

I don't think phase response is of that much importance when you hit the low notes, your ears cannot hear absolute phase.....

Group delay is a different matter but nearly all bins suffer from some sort of group delay issues.

i doubt very much that a bandpass horn is the most musically sounding bin available. terrible phase response is unavoidable in a bph design. and 40Hz cutoff isn't great either. they are efficient and play high but for their size they don't go that low or sound that great. Phil

If I were you then I would go and have a listen to some F121 cabinets set up and driven correctly before making detrimental sweeping statements---We are talking about a cabinet here that is probably going to be an industry standard box for many years to come in such a compact cabinet---This cabinet sets the new benchmark in my opinion although I have not heard any of Rogs Stasys X cabinets yet.

Anyone got any plans for DT100s... haha

I'm sure the F121 will sound awesome - There's not really anything 'bad' at that level / price point.

I think the Void Stasys X will outperform anything within it's size and maybe even larger cabinets. Just a feeling. Haven't heard them yet.

WinkA good friend of mine just bought 12 Res 9s, our Void Syko subs are out on dry hire all summer cos he wants to run them with the 9s. What do you mean when you say "Musical"? i would much rather Void Bass that F1 but each to their own.... When it comes to proper sub 35-80hz Void Wins Hands down. Wink

IMO, the void psychos are pretty much unbeatable for real balls out low end.
