Games Consoles

as the games for these consoles are mainly third party games from western developers that reflect on the popular culture(s) around them... i.e. war games, football games, cinematic adventure featuring loads of guns games, play a film with loads of cut sequences games, same old crap again and again games etc etc

there are still japanese developers that still bring out games for the two power house consoles, e.g. konami, capcom etc but these companies have fallen short a bit from their glorious days in the 90's.

If you want to play games that usually escape to an imaginary/cartoony reality, have a profound sense of creativity, will be playable over and over for the next x years, get a NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube (or even a Wii), and just buy nintendo's own games. third party games can be ok, but nintendo's own games are works of art.

If the game is by ninty, its guaranteed to have amazing aesthetic values, good physics, apply to all age groups universally (not just teenage angst), and a good moral at the end of the story. 

I could go on and on about how amazing nintendo are, and how much i believe in what they are doing and have done in terms of artistic direction.... but thats because I'm hugely biased and still childishly support them over the competition (like they are football teams or something). 

Graphics and lighting effects aren't the only things that can be fun and rewarding when playing games....

Try Pikmin, doshin the giant, F-zero, kirby, metroid, starfox/lylatwars, smash bros, donkey kong, Odama, Punch out, and of course ZELDA 

Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time .... This game is just special, If Jesus made games, this would be it. (ranked best game ever over the years more than any other game in history if I'm not mistaken)
