I once had approx 13x, of the "original" Oberton 18XB1300's. The originals were great, but then Oberton modified the design, and they started failing. I sent back most of my units. I would say, B&C 18DS100 would be one of the best drivers, in the 186 Horn today.
Xmax/Xvar/BL, "maybe" sufficient, to run 186 horns, down to 42hz in pairs. |

I think the ones I have a chance to buy are the original 1300’s. So you would recommend getting them to out in 186’s, if I have the chance?

They may work well, but I suggested 18DS100, because it has better Xmax/BL.
186 Horn not natively designed to do 40hz in pairs, so driver with extended Xmax needed, to get cab lower than 48hz in pairs, with SPL. |
