Any ideas about a driver which could survive in a folded horn box left out in the woods all year round? Does such a thing exist? 

We've got some old 15" horns and there was a discussion about perhaps their end of life being in the woods. It'd nice if there just happened to be a rig in the woods that just lived there...

You could apply some waterproofing to the cones of whatever drivers you use if they're not already waterproof.  Yes you might change the parameters slightly but given the intended application, I doubt it would be an issue.
