Hello, I currently own 4 , active dual 10 , dual 1.5 driver.
Line array cabinets. They cost $1500US dollars. Mexican company, Melo match 210. I am now working with a Mobile school bus with light show and Sound system. We are going to burning man this year. I would like your opinion, on building a line array of 8 cabinets, and possibly 12. Amplified by One Admark ad60. And a admark442, for highs. Admark ad60 for 6 or 8 cabinets. Admark ad440 2 channels for 4 cabinets, and 2 channels for All high frequency drivers. Option one is to buy more active cabinets. Option 2 is sell the current 4 active cabinets. And go for the passive route. Looking for more spl, and quality if possible. Looking at the lavoce wan123. And for driver possibly lavoce titanium 3 inch driver, Or maybe rcf nd950 ( not sure if I can afford it ). Cabinets will be built in CNC machine. Price ea around $300dls,.and $1,100 with lavoce components. Dual 10s are also an option. Would like opinions.

The magic of a line array is in the DSP processing and having the ability to individually adjust the output of each box. If you just want loud then forgo building separate boxes and built columns in a managable size with a stack of cones and line array horns side by side and series parallel wired so the minimum number of amp channels is required. If you make that stack tall enough it will still exhibit some line array behavour.
