The similarities (size-wise) are obvious

(Except, of course, the MSL-4 goes down to 65hz- probably has to do with that ridiculously long phase plug damn near sticking out the front of the cab)

It doesn't really seem that similar to me, bar being a 12" phase-plugged mid section. Which isn't exactly uncommon.
Interesting to see that they appear to have a downward angle on the mid section but not the HF bit though:
