Hej!
first of all: Sorry for my english, I'm not a native speaker. I like to build a Punisher, maybe two. Just for private use. Unfortunately I'm not a proffesional builder, so I need some advice. I have modeled the Punisher in CAD. Here is a picture: http://s22.postimg.org/acf1n2ns1/punisher.png ![]() First Question: how do you build wooden build in handles? I want a plain surface...maybe you have a good picture or a sketch from your handles. I don't like to put a second panel on the side panel Second Question: the terminal is on the back wall, should I put the cable along the corners to the back? AND which cable dimension do you use? 4mm^2? Third Question: I'm using 15 mm thick birch plywood. How deep do you cut flute/housing of the access? Because from one side you have the flute of the access cover and from the other side the flute of the internal panels at the same location Fourth Question: Any use of damping material? If I am right, there is no other good driver (and cheaper) as the Ciare 12.00? remember, I don't wanna use it in a proffesional way. So thanks a lot for every given answer! 1.
put the handles on the top and bottom panels like this picture ![]() ![]() ignore the top and bottom design, the one in the middle is from the punisher You will have to double up the top and bottom panels and use a thin (6mm?) panel of ply on the inside of the horn to keep the horn sealed 2. im not sure i understand your question enough to give you an answer ![]() 3. personally i dont think theres any point in building punishers unless you use the correct drivers 4. i havent got any wadding on the inside of my punishers, best thing to do is try using some, if it sounds better then use it.
this page may of some use to you http://www.speakerstore.nl/constructions/show/21 Edited by Tocooltom - 18 November 2013 at 6:25pm |
