I've just bought one of these for my woman. Please don't tell me they've got issues!! I was actually thinking of swapping it for one with a SD slot as the Nexus doesn't have one and maybe one with a bigger screen. £200 is the limit. Any ideas?

So far the Nexus has done what it says on the packet, its just not an ipad, 7" is fine but the girls like a 10" as it fits in the handbag so the Nexus 10 would be my recommendation.

I've got the N7 2013 since it was released. Back then i was doubting to buy either a N7 or ipad mini. For a few weeks now I have an Iphone 5 for work, and hate the Apple interface. Very glad i didn't buy the Ipad! N7 or N10 are definitely the best tabs money can buy at the moment i.m.o. .
Best regards,
Teun.

Thanks guys. I've got an ipad 2 myself and love it. I may go for the Air one next year but it will do for now. I was impressed with the Nexus as it was one of he few with a rear facing camera although no memory slot but 16Gb should enough for the ol' Doris. Bless her.

Just heard yesterday that my christmas presents from work will include an Ipad air, so will be able to fully compare the N7 2013 and Ipad air in a while.
Best regards,
Teun.

As an ICT student I have and use a nexus 7 2013 and is by far one of the best overall machine for under 400 pounds you can get. Slim, small, good looking and powerful enough for Mr to multi task a lot.

The you say you want to flash it, I guess you mean you have it rooted and want to use a different android OS. It should have 4.4.2 which for the moment is the newst you can get, you can only UPGRADE to a modded kitkat 4.4.2. It's a tricky / risky thing to do as the chance of you bricking the divice is like 8x more likely compair to if you flash it with a different is like 4.2 or something.

Mine for college is rooted running KitKat.
Other is rooted with modded OS and CPU overclocked to run games and screen recorder at the same time. Need cooling all the time so would not recommend it.
