Ive phoned about 10 different timber merchants in my area and nowhere has 15mm ply, only 12 and 18. I really really want to make some punishers but i cant without the wood! Does anyone know of somewhere south of london that supplies it? ( i live in north west surrey)

www.tottontimber.com are in Southampton and do 15mm and 24mm ply , only about 90 minutes drive from http://www.godstonehotel.com/. They can also cut the sheets down to your exact requirements, placing a nick in the wood and checking the measurement before ripping a whole cut, unlike the hobby sheds.

I'm well pleased with my 15mm HD15 cabinets. Don't make any cabinet any heavier than you need to, unless it is for an install.

Wow, for some it's rather hard to get you'r wood...
hell here in the states in western Washington, 15/18mm birch is just right down the street no matter what city... can get a good 4 foot by 8 foot sheet of 18mm for $20... hats off to some of you, willing to drive so far and do so much just for you'r wood. i'm impressed, that alone desirves respect! ![]() Edited by NeverWinter - 09 January 2006 at 6:13am |

Isn't marine ply the best quality ply - waterproof and VOID free, until we load the drivers in?
