I looked at the sizes of alot of 6" flares, angles etc from this i came up with the average size and shape. I used this for the starting point for this project. I then adjusted the angles to suit my needs and size to the desired frequency that im looking for. Im hoping they sound as ive intended them to sound. when i came up with the the design and size i wanted for the flare i then started cutting wood. As for the depth im still not shure myself im still running test using (arta), but im a newby with this software and strugling to get to grips with it. If it ends up being to big in depth ill just start again making it less deep!!!!!. Im looking for it to fill the gap above the 12" mt section and a 1" tweeter.
regards
Ben
ps (i think we are both on the same lines with what we want sound wise out of the mt121 (a 12" 6" 1" combo) for a fuller sound) Edited by djbenwells - 04 October 2008 at 2:06am |
